Welcome Friday, it’s Dallas

Dallas contractors insurance general liability -972-217-8907, well most of us enjoy the fact that this is Friday and a lot of the contractors here in North Texas know one thing about Friday. There is only one more day to go. Now, as for us we will be here from 8:30 and on our phone all the day long, so if for any reason you need us just call the number at the top and I/we will do everything possible to be part of the solution to your situation and hopefully help protect your assets. Today we will go over some of the things that you will most likely need for underwriting concerning your Dallas contractors insurance general liability.

Losses

You may have had a loss in the past five years and there is a chance that you have NOT had a loss in the past five years. This loss that we are speaking about is for your general liability quote. If you have had prior insurance the company will most likely want to see loss runs for your prior carrier. If for some reason you have forgotten and the “LOSS” shows up on the loss runs from you prior carrier this could be a problem with the company that you are applying for your Dallas contractors insurance general liability quote.

Prior Companies

Prior companies, is not whom you worked for in the past, it is more like what company did you own, or have part ownership in over the past 7 years. (something like that) So, if you were a part of a company and had ownership in that company the insurance carrier may want to have that information.

Web Site

I will make this as clear as possible in a small space. If you have a web site and that web site say’s that you or your company does work outside of the scope that you have reported then there can be a problem. You may be a painter and that is all you have done for the past five years, BUT your website say’s that you do……

  • Now, I don’t know what is on your web site and you may not even have a website, however if you do have a web site you may even have an old website. Whatever is on that site is going to trump what is on your application for coverage. So, it may be a good idea to remove the things that you don’t do on your website or you may pay for this exposure. There is a possibility that the carrier could cancel the policy. Now, go over this with the person that is taking the application.
