Contractors, it’s a day of rest here on Sunday

Dallas contractors insurance, Dallas general liability – 972-217-8907 – Dallas/Fort Worth is where we live, North Texas and Texas in general is where we work and try to the best of our ability to put forward affordability and fit the right program to the right contractor, this is my way of saying one size does not fit all. Today we are going to talk about contractors and their needs and how that coordinates itself with your policy and coverage’s that are on (included) and some that are not on your policy (excluded). We will touch on what the difference is going to be to you and the pricing of your Dallas contractors insurance, Dallas general liability.

Pricing – Yes pricing

Now, premium/pricing is absolutely going to be important some people may even call it paramount when making your decision on which policy to choose. I am not here to make an argument I am here only to point out a few things and remember that when you read this you need to work with an agent because this is going to be one person’s opinion and may not actually relate properly to your current policy. (Read tomorrow’s blog on “codes” – and the above sentence will make more logic to you.) Let’s go to the part about exclusions first – and remember I cannot type this enough are screaming loud enough this may or may not be relevant to your particular policy, yet it may not be the worst question in the world you ever ask an agent of what may be excluded on your Dallas contractors insurance, Dallas general liability. Here are some things that may be excluded

  • Roofing
  • Concrete
  • Foundations
  • Fire extinguisher systems
  • Plumbing
  • Yes, this is a very short list, yet the idea is not to list every exclusion known to man the idea is to maybe get you and I’m thinking in the same direction. So, as an example let’s say that you need to do a roofing patch job and use hire a subcontractor to do the work. (That sound that you hear could be of can of worms opening up.) There is also going to be a difference if the subcontractor is insured or noninsured and that brings up endorsements. Next week we will be going over your subcontractors and exclusions as well as endorsements such as waiver of subrogation and additional insured. Now, that’s a lot of information coming at you but remember that endorsements – exclusions – certificates all will have their very own blog.

    What you read

Here is something that you may want to consider, reading information here may help and it may not be relevant to your policy whatsoever, this is my way of saying who knows. Yet in my humble opinion it is not futile to look for information generate some questions and go over that with your agent. Back to the roofing subcontractor that you may have hired to do a job here on our cyber construction site. What happens if there is a claim? Will the roofer be covered if there is a type of negligence where the roof leaks? Now I will tell you does not do – I don’t know I don’t know your policy maybe it’s a great question for your current agent. Or, you could call me personally the number supplied above and I will do all that I can to answer your questions properly on the spot I am a licensed agent.
