Codes

Well, it may be just as important to know what codes (what types of work) are excluded on your coverage, now we/I have not read your policy don’t know what you have as far as your coverage meaning I have no idea what your exclusions are, that is my way of saying that is something you may want to go over with your agent. Now we do not possess a crystal ball and cannot tell you with 100% certainty that if you have a claim with an excluded code that the claim will not be paid. Yet, it may be prudent to go over your codes if you are going to hire a subcontractor and be sure that that particular kind of work is covered on your policy and you may want to be prudent and be sure that subcontractors are covered on your policy you may hire someone to do something like…

  • Roofing
  • Now, I do not know what is excluded on your policy and I do not know if you ever hire a subcontractor. Yet in my experience in my experience only it is interesting that most people are of the opinion that if you hire a subcontractor that they are on their own and I’m not here to tell you that you are 100% an accurate. So, instead I will just ask you a question, and you as the contracting company may want to ask this same question of your agent. What happens in case there is a claim and it is denied by your Dallas Contractors General Liability Insurance-5carrier? What happens if there is a claim that is paid for by your clients insurance policy regardless of whether it is commercial or residential and they send you a demand letter for the amount of the claim? Now, once again I don’t have a crystal ball and can’t tell you what is going to happen in the future, however I can ask you a third question. Does anyone think that insurance companies are just fun-loving people and enjoy paying claims, or do you think they are the kind of people who want to recoup as much money as possible. This is one of those – you be the judge. We will be back here again tomorrow talking about your Dallas contractors insurance, Dallas general liability.
